Love the great variety that Kenn plays. I have come to enjoy so many more musicians that I was not familiar with. Kenn Bowen really knows and loves this musical landscape.

G'day Y'all,

Here's an ole country boy from Oklahoma living in the Land DownUnder. Yep, I traded in tornadoes, floods and über redneck politicians for sharks and the ten most poisonous everything in the world in a post-colonial English South Sea paradise. I grew up with Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash, but my preference drifted to rock and classical. Yeah, I know, I'm a charming collection of contradictions. Why, I even knew one of your announcers, Kenn Bowen, back when we were on an all expenses paid year-long holiday in an exotic asian location paid for with your tax dollars. Handsome devil, Kenn, does a good job on the radio. As we say over here, "His blood's worth bottling". I reckon he deserves a pay rise. (Did I say that right Kenn? You sure my check is in the mail?).

I lived for a few years in Tamworth, New South Wales, where they play both kinds of music - Country and Western. It was great to hear some great singers and groups during the annual Country Music Festival held every January: Slim Dusty, John Williamson, Keith Urban, Troy Cassar-Daley, Anne Kirkpatrick, Becky Cole, James Blundell and also the Flying Emus. I'm not sure if you're familiar with all of them but they were among my pick of the best that Australia produced in that music genre.

Now here's the deal. If you charming and intelligent, generous folk at kmfg were to post me a CD of a collection of some of your favourite top artists I would reply in kind with an Aussie version. Wishing you all good weather and smooth rides. Just hope we all survive Trump.

Cheers,

Stephen Fugate
