KFMG Voted Best Radio Station in Des Moines!

After a one-year hiatus from the top spot, once again, for the 13th time in the last 14 years, Cityview readers have chosen KFMG as “Des Moines’ Best Radio Station!!”

 

Also, KFMG's Kristian Day, host of "Iowa Basement Tapes" each Thursday night, won for "Best Radio Voice That Turns You On," and Ron Sorenson, the Dean of Des Moines Radio, won for "Best Radio Personality."

Keep in mind that this all happens at a non-profit, non-commercial, Community Radio Station with all of the power of a large light bulb (100 watts), a marketing and promotional budget of $0, and a TOTAL annual budget less than most morning shows in the market.

Our thanks to the hard-working staff of VOLUNTEER announcers and hosts at KFMG, and to our dedicated and supportive listeners.

While the Cityview poll, which produces thousands of responses, is NOT a scientific survey of the market, only one survey may be filled out per computer, so this suggests that KFMG has a significant audience, and one which is active AND supportive of the station.
