Again, thanks to everybody out there
for all my views on my Youtubes videos.
Isn’t Paula Castro amazing?
Without Nathan James none of my stuff
would be out there except for my stuff
as a sideman on Stand up Bass.
Nathan James is an American treasure.

I am enjoying taking this thing into
the future.
It might take a while, but I seem to
getting a lot of views.
I couldn’t have done any of this
stuff without the great Nathan James
I can also say that Paula Castro did
an amazing job with the visuals.
Somebody had to do it and I
guess it had to be me.
People have to remember that
I still love the traditional stuff
as much as I ever did.
I just don’t want to get stuck
in retroworld, even though I love it
the future.

I really appreciate all the support of the
people that have asked me to make
“ Enhanced Selected Tracks” into
an LP. It’s not on the internet.
I wasn’t sure if LP’s would really make
comeback but record stores seem to be
appearing a lot.
I guess there seems to be a reaction against
streaming and downloading.
All I can offer is quality and innovation.
I will make it worth your while.
Thanks again for your support

It will be for sale at various locations.
Yes, that is a real 1974 M-400 analog Mellotron.

For as much as I like “ Big Rhythm Combo”,
I recorded on that around 1994.
Great record, but I couldn’t just make
a bunch of “ Big Rhythm Combo” copy
CD’s.
I absolutely love the past, and totally
adhere to and love the sound of the
rhythm sections of the past.
I would just hate to see blues and swing
stuck in a kind of “retro world” place.
Or better yet, blues and swing becomes
kind of like classic rock with blues
musicians dressed up as people
from Chicago in the early fifties.
Don’t get me wrong, playing perfect
renditions of Jimmie zliggins tunes is
still way cooler than most of the
modern rock blues out there, but
let’s not get stuck in “retro world”

be on the Concert circuit.
When you really think about it, this
music is uniquely American
Ain’t nothing like combining European
Gospel hymms with African rhythm.
We got something cool really cool from
the good old USA.
Both optimism and pain is rolled all
into one.
The pain of oppression and good old
toe tapping exurberance.
All of us players could use a raise, since
everybody in the world knows how cool
this music is.
